GUIDED TOURS OF MUSEO MARMOLADA GRANDE GUERRA 3000 M 

You can visit the Great War Museum in Serauta with a guide who is an expert on the territory and the story of the Great War on the Marmolada. Reservation required. Tickets cost € 24.00 per person up to Serauta (where the museum is located) and € 30.00 per person up to the scenic terrace at Punta Rocca (3265 m). The guide is free. 27th December 2019, 3rd-24th January & 7th-21st February 2020 – Punta Rocca

SUNRISE FROM THE QUEEN

Time stops at 3.265 m, while the sun begins to rise behind the Dolomites peaks. Cold penetrates into the folds of jackets and ski trousers, but nothing can spoil the beauty of such an event and the opportunity for skiers to descend along Bellunese ski slope, the longest of Dolomiti Superski, before anyone else on the traces of the snowcat. Ticket: 40 € per person.

It is always better to book the ticket in advance.

PROGRAM

06.30 am – Departure from Malga Ciapèla;

06.45 am – Short coffee break in Serauta;

07.00 am – Trip to Punta Rocca for the sunrise;

07.30 am – For skiers: Descent toward Malga Ciapèla. Return to Serauta for breakfast before the official

opening time (08:40) only with a valid ticket (ex. Superski);

– For non-skiers: With cable car to Serauta for breakfast and afterwards free descent to Malga Ciapèla.

TICKET 40 € PER PERSON

It includes:

– Ticket for the first trip at 6.30

– Coffee break in Serauta

– Rich breakfast buffet in Serauta restaurant

– Ticket for the trip back to Malga Ciapèla.

Exciting descent of the “Befana” from Marmolada cable car directly on Malga Ciapela parking place to bring presents to all the good kids.

5 pm – Opening of the stands. 6 pm – Descent of the “Befana”.

MARMOLADA: JUST A BEEP AWAY

2019 has been the year of the physical accessibility for Marmolada, 2020 we hope it will be the year of the physical and digital accessibility. On the 26th January 2020, we will inaugurate the new “Geochip” system that will narrate to all the users the geological and social history of the Queen of the Dolomites. To this very important event will participate also one of the key actors of the “Limitless” year: Oscar De Pellegrin, who will go up another time to Serauta to speak about his book “Ho fatto centro”.

“CHIACCHIERE” FOR CARNIVAL

During the Carnival week, in the bar by the departure station of the cable car and in Serauta self-service, you will be able to taste one of the delicacies of the local tradition. Cooked just for important events or for Carnival, the “chiacchiere” are here called Fiorostide, a dessert of the tradition not to be missed.

SKI&WINE

Wine tasting at high altitude, organised in the fascinating Arabba-Marmolada ski resort. Thanks to a special map, the skier will be able to taste wines coming from different vineyards and enjoy tantalizing delicacies prepared by huts owners.

FEE (Skipass excluded):

Fee including the ski teacher: 25,00 € per person.

Fee without the ski teacher: 20,00 € person (in groups).

LA SBRISÈDA

Vintage ski meeting, first organised in 2003 to remember the first descent by ski of Marmolada after 100 years. Every year, the event recalls ski lovers from all over the world, who ski wearing vintage dresses on Marmolada and Padon slopes, divided in three different categories:

  • Leather boots and wooden skis;
  • Leather boots and metal or fibre skis prior the Seventies;
  • Straight skis/snurfer/snowboard/monoski prior 1989 and plastic boots.
